Volleyball Recap: Nicollet Takes a Loss

Nicollet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Springfield Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Springfield scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20.

Jada Reese was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.

Nicollet's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Springfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicollet will welcome Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they will be playing at home against Sleepy Eye at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
