Preview: Grand County Red Devils vs. San Juan Broncos
Grand County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the San Juan Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Juan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Grand County, who comes in off a win.
Grand County put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Monticello 59-27 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Grand County has posted since December 2, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grand County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cadence Kasprick, who scored 17 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Kasprick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Bryant, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
San Juan suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. Their rough 64-44 loss to Whitehorse might stick with them for a while. San Juan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Grand County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for San Juan, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Grand County and San Juan were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but Grand County came up empty-handed after a 58-57 defeat. Can Grand County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
