Madison Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They rang in the new year with a 48-40 win over the Rowan County Vikings. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

It was another big night for Nataya Strader, who went 8 of 17 on her way to 25 points along with six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameryn Ridderikhoff, who went 6 of 7 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Madison Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Rowan County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Madison Central and Rowan County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Madison Central (ranked first) will meet Henry Clay (ranked 150th) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Madison Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season. Similarly, Rowan County (ranked 41st) will meet Greenup County (ranked 212th) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
