Recap: East Jackson Eagles vs. Banks County Leopards
The East Jackson Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Banks County 78-22. East Jackson has not had much luck with Banks County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Addison Hoard was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists for Banks County. Hoard is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carley Segars, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
East Jackson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Banks County, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
East Jackson will head out on the road to square off against Fellowship Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fellowship Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Banks County will take on Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
