            Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Huskies vs. Peru Nighthawks        
        
		
        
        
            Franklin Academy posted their biggest  win since January 25, 2024 on Saturday. They blew past the Peru Nighthawks, posting  a  62-30 victory. Given the Huskies' advantage  in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings  (they are ranked 275th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 566th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was   Isaac Baker, who  went 5 of 8  on his way to 12 points and five  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cam Keating, who  posted eight  points and eight  rebounds.
 Franklin Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The  win was  the third in a row for Franklin Academy, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Peru,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Franklin Academy and Heuvelton Central will meet in a canine-themed contest  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Franklin Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Peru, they will host Northern Adirondack  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
