Basketball Recap: McIntosh Takes a Loss

McIntosh fought the good fight in their overtime game against Northgate on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Northgate Vikings 53-47. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

It was another big night for Deasia Stinson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards for Northgate. The contest was Stinson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thalia Caines, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

McIntosh's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northgate, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

McIntosh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-18 defeat against Morrow on the 7th. Northgate has also already played their next game, a 62-48 loss against East Coweta on the 7th.
