Football Recap: Mckenzie Skates Past Billingsley with Ease

McKenzie had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 10-0 to make it ten. They breezed past the Billingsley Bears to the tune of 50-6. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Quay Jackson threw for 164 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Jolon Davis-Warren was his top target, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores. On the ground, Ayden Willsey rushed for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries.

As for Billingsley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Billingsley lost, don't look at Kaden Cotton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 129 yards and one TD. Cotton's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 129 rushing yards.

McKenzie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Billingsley, they will face off against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 14.9 points per game this season, so the Bears' offense will have their work cut out for them.
