Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. James Wood

Liberty is 0-10 against James Wood since May of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Colonels at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Liberty headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for seven straight, but Skyline let them put that streak behind them. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Hawks a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Liberty's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James Wood). Everything went their way against Manassas Park on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. James Wood might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by four goals or more this season.

Liberty's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for James Wood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-2.
