Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Tigers vs. Rickards Raiders
Thursday just wasn't the day for Jefferson County's offense. They lost 24-0 to the Rickards Raiders on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Jefferson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Boyd, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Rickards, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.
Looking ahead, Jefferson County will head out to take on Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson County has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Rickards, they will welcome Menendez at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
