Softball Recap: Niceville Beats St. Thomas Aquinas for Their 12th Straight Win

Niceville extended their postseason success on Thursday against St. Thomas Aquinas. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Raiders. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won 12 matches in a row.

Chloe Bailey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Niceville let Briana Noles and Natalie Miller run wild. Noles went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Miller went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Miller has posted since back in February. Valerie Malley was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI.

Niceville's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-13.

As of now, neither Niceville nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
