Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

The Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks came up short against the Faith Christian Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Ducks were not able to get on the board.

While Cornerstone Charter Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Hiro Kato paced Cornerstone Charter Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Kato really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with nine. Finally, Nicholas Spinelli kept Cornerstone Charter Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cornerstone Charter Academy fell to 5-1. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

While Cornerstone Charter Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
