Basketball Recap: Celeste Comes Up Short

Celeste was the 44-29 winner over Trenton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Celeste Blue Devils fell to the Trenton Tigers 34-28. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Tigers are ranked 1415th).

Celeste dropped their record down to 23-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Trenton, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-16.

Celeste will host Whitewright at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trenton, they will head out on the road to square off against Honey Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
