Jacksonville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Gladewater Bears on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Fightin' Indians in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Jacksonville wouldn't go down easily and took Gladewater into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 25-19, 19-25, 15-8.

Coming up, Jacksonville will venture away from home to challenge Alto at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gladewater, they will face off against Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
