Boonville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Marshall, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Pirates never let the Owls get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. The Pirates not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 16-1).

Boonville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

Coming up, Boonville will be playing in front of their home fans against Mexico at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
