Baseball Game Preview: Viola Longhorns vs. Norfork Panthers

Viola and Norfork are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Viola Longhorns will welcome the Norfork Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Viola took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Concord with a sharp 10-4 win.

Meanwhile, while Norfork put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Rural Special. Norfork was the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Rural Special. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

Viola's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Norfork, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
