Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lamont Brooks and Rayshawn Hamilton Lead Garfield Community Learning Center to Victory

Garfield Community Learning Center won the last time they faced Ellet and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams came out on top against the Ellet Orangemen by a score of 61-54. Given the Golden Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Orangemen are ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Garfield Community Learning Center to victory were Rayshawn Hamilton and Lamont Brooks. Hamilton posted 23 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Brooks made all 7 shots he took for 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Hamilton's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cory Rosenthal, who scored four points.

Garfield Community Learning Center's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Ellet, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Garfield Community Learning Center will take on East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ellet, they will face off against Firestone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
