Basketball Game Preview: Merrimack Tomahawks vs. Spaulding Red Raiders

The Merrimack Tomahawks will head out to square off against the Spaulding Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spaulding took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Merrimack, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Merrimack beat Timberlane 57-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tomahawks.

Meanwhile, Spaulding was beaten by Salem 78-48 on Monday. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Merrimack has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Spaulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Merrimack came out on top in a nail-biter against Spaulding in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tomahawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
