Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Bastrop

The Chaparral Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Bastrop Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Chaparral's tournament run continued when they took on Port Neches-Groves on Saturday. Neither Chaparral nor Port Neches-Groves could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Bastrop hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rudder, sneaking past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Bears as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Cayden Justice was the driving force of Bastrop's attack as he scored both of Bastrop's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

With that draw, Chaparral's record moves to 3-4-2. As for Bastrop, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0-2.
