Troy has gone 9-1 against Sidney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will challenge the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Troy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Sidney's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Troy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Butler, who was ranked tenth at the time (Troy was ranked 11th). The Trojans never let the Aviators get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Aviators on their field since April 14, 2023.

Meanwhile, Sidney lost 21-4 to Xenia on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered against the Buccaneers since April 7, 2017.

Sidney saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Conley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Troy's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Sidney, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything went Troy's way against Sidney in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Troy made off with an 18-1 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
