A Season-Best Effort from Elijah Ayala Leads San Juan Hills over Corona Del Mar

Elijah Ayala produced his most outstanding game to date while leading San Juan Hills to the win on Friday. Ayala rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

The victory was the third in a row for San Juan Hills, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Ayala and San Juan Hills will square off against Yorba Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Brady Annett Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Sadly, Brady Annett posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Corona del Mar over San Juan Hills on Friday. Annett rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 162 yards and a touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Corona del Mar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Annett and Corona del Mar will square off against Newport Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Herr Made His Presence Known in San Juan Hills' 31-28 Win

The second San Juan Hills player making an appearance here is Timmy Herr, and for good reason. He threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.

On the year, Herr has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 171.3 passing yards per game.

Cole Nerio Delivers Electric Effort Vs Villa Park

Yorba Linda picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Cole Nerio. Nerio turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
