Softball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem couldn't beat Whitehall on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Generals fell just short of the Railroaders by a score of 6-5. The Generals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Railroaders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Salem now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Whitehall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Salem will venture away from home to take on Cambridge at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals are facing the Athletics at the right time seeing as the Athletics are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Whitehall, they will head out to square off against Saratoga Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
