Providence benefitted from Straub in 19-0 victory
While Wednesday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Blake Straub. He was dynamite on Wednesday, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Straub and Providence will play host again on Thursday to welcome Holy Cross, where first pitch is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. Holy Cross will enter the matchup having just beaten Campbellsville, so Providence will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
