Basketball Recap: Tyler Bernett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bishop Rosecrans over Wellington School

Bishop Rosecrans was the 62-49 winner over Wellington School when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellington School Jaguars on Saturday.

Bishop Rosecrans' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Bernett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Bernett is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 16 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohen Harris, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Bishop Rosecrans' loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Wellington School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-14 record this season.

Coming up, Bishop Rosecrans will take on Malvern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Rosecrans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season. As for Wellington School, they will head out to square off against New Hope Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
