Basketball Recap: Harris County Comes Up Short

Harris County managed to slip by Griffin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Harris County Tigers took a blow against the Griffin Bears on Friday, falling 75-21. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Bears are ranked 189th).

Harris County's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Griffin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Harris County Tigers take on the Starr's Mill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Griffin, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Midtown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Griffin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
