Soccer Recap: Dutch Fork Takes a Loss

Dutch Fork managed to keep up with Lexington until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Dutch Fork came up short against Lexington, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Dutch Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Lexington are ranked 18th).

Dutch Fork's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dutch Fork will face off against River Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River Bluff will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Dutch Fork surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lexington, they will challenge White Knoll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
