Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Kellis Cougars
The Fullerton Indians's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Kellis Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Wednesday.
Last Thursday, Fullerton had to suffer through a rough 68-34 loss at the hands of Troy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fullerton has scored all season.
Fullerton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lincoln Salihamer, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds, and Baylor Wilks who scored nine points. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Meanwhile, Kellis pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by Willow Canyon at home and fell 83-56. While losing is never fun, Kellis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Willow Canyon is ranked 25th).
Fullerton's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Kellis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
