Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Caney). They put the hurt on the Caney Creek Panthers with a sharp 16-1 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

New Caney's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-11-2. As for Caney Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.
