Basketball Recap: Kent Hairston's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin Heights over St. Francis Desales

Franklin Heights played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 75-54 to the St. Francis DeSales Stallions. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 73-48 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kent Hairston, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 17 points. The game was Hairston's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Kershaw was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Franklin Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for St. Francis DeSales, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Franklin Heights has already played their next contest, a 59-47 loss against Columbus Academy on the 14th. As for St. Francis DeSales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-41 defeat against Bishop Watterson on the 17th.
