Baseball Recap: Minnetonka's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Minnetonka's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Eden Prairie Eagles on Wednesday. The Skippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 9-5.

Minnetonka got a good showing from Daschle Duwe, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Minnetonka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Storts, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lincoln Heitkamp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Minnetonka's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Eden Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minnetonka will face off against Prior Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eden Prairie, they will challenge Buffalo at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
