Southlands Christian came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Southlands Christian got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Western Christian lost, don't look at Gwenyth Baumer. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Baumer is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game. Logan Defoort was another key player, getting ten digs and one assist.

Southlands Christian's victory bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Western Christian, their defeat ended a 13-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-6.
