Van Buren's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Allen East Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Black Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Van Buren was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-14.

Brooklyn Wilkin paced Van Buren's offense, picking up 21 kills. Wilkin got some help from Lydia Ponn and her 35 assists.

Van Buren's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Allen East, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Van Buren will face off against McComb at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Allen East, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kalida on the 6th.
