Basketball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Beats Rio Rico for Their Second Straight Victory

Rio Rico came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, but Hunter Edmunds wouldn't allow it. The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions claimed a resounding 71-29 victory over the Rio Rico Hawks thanks in part to Edmunds, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Another player making a difference was Ben Lambe, who posted nine points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Santiago Merino and Ramsess Bolivar certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Merino put up ten points, while Bolivar scored eight points.

The win made it two in a row for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Rio Rico, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-44 loss against Thatcher on the 22nd. As for Rio Rico, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-51 defeat against Douglas on the 23rd.
