Softball Recap: Woodlawn Cardinals vs. Grayville Bison

Woodlawn waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Grayville Bison onto the board and left with a 10-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Woodlawn also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.

Alli Downes made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Downes has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Downes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
