You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Discovery Canyon's strategy against Niwot on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Thunder blew the Cougars out of the water with a 63-32 final score. The Thunder not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 12, 2024 (when they won 62-29).

Discovery Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade Johnson, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 12 points and six rebounds. Those 12 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Isaac Robinson was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Discovery Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Niwot only pulled down eight.

Niwot's loss came despite strong showings from LT Lehman and Elliot Wisecup. Lehman posted 13 points, while Wisecup put up five points and three steals. Colin Cunningham also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.
