Softball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wonewoc-Center and Cashton meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wolves lost 15-2 to the Eagles. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Callissa Keller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Olivia Olson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Wonewoc-Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cashton, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-2-1.

Wonewoc-Center didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-4 loss against Hillsboro on the 17th. As for Cashton, they have also already played their next game, a 12-5 defeat against Necedah on the 17th.
