Baseball Recap: Trenton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trenton won against Whitewright on Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Trenton beat Whitewright by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. Winning may never get old, but Trenton sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Colton Carroll, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Brower, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Carroll wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Trenton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Trenton's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Whitewright, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Trenton will face off against Honey Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Honey Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Whitewright, they are taking a road trip to take on Collinsville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Collinsville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Whitewright surely won't give up without a fight.
