San Diego Academy entered their tilt with Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cobras. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

San Diego Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Jason Love paced San Diego Academy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Love got some help from Dustin Jewell and his 33 assists. Finally, Story Avitia kept San Diego Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

San Diego Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
