 The Maplesville Red Devils won the last time they faced the Verbena Red Devils, and things went their way  on Friday too. Maplesville breezed by Verbena on the road  to the tune of  59-19.
 Maplesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Aiden Abbott led the charge by  scoring 12 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals. Abbott hasn't dropped below two  steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jonathan Wilson, who  scored 14 points along with two  steals.
 Maplesville is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Verbena, they are  on a nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-13.
 Maplesville will look to defend their home court  on Monday against Notasulga at 6:30  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Alabama (Notasulga is ranked 411th, while Maplesville is ranked 403rd). As for Verbena, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Billingsley at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Billingsley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
