Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Chargers.

Karagyn Whelchel was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Edlyn Iben, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Perry will venture away from home to take on Prairie City-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, they will challenge Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
