Baseball Game Preview: Rice Consolidated Raiders vs. Yoakum Bulldogs

The Rice Consolidated Raiders will challenge the Yoakum Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Consolidated hasn't scored more than a single run for six games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Rice Consolidated's last matchup with Industrial could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Raiders came up short against the Cobras, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Yoakum, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Palacios on Friday.

Yoakum's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trae Cuellar, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Yoakum hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Rice Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Yoakum, their win bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
