If Plainview was riding high fresh off their 11-4 takedown of North Jackson on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Piedmont Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 12-3. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Piedmont, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will head out to challenge Spain Park at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Piedmont, they are taking a road trip to take on Cherokee County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
