Holy Cross dropped their record down to 18-17 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bullitt Central. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bullitt Central this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 last Friday.

Holy Cross saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Drake, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Bullitt Central, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-12. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

On Bullitt Central's side, Mason Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Easton Burkhardt and Kolton Begley did most of the damage at the plate: Burkhardt went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, while Begley went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those three hits gave Burkhardt a new career-high.

As of now, neither Holy Cross nor Bullitt Central have any future games scheduled.
