Softball Recap: Manor Mustangs vs. Norview Pilots

Manor's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Norview Pilots by a score of 13-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in April.

Keleigh Moore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Manor let Ciah Leinart and Tiesha Cross run wild. Leinart got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs, while Cross got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Leinart has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura DeJesus, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Manor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Manor back to even at 11-11. As for Norview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Manor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norview, they will head out to square off against Denbigh at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
