Softball Recap: Shadow Ridge Comes Up Short

Shadow Ridge was the 5-4 winner over Corona del Sol when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 4-3 on Monday.

McKayla Ethington made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn Gentner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Shadow Ridge now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Corona del Sol, they moved to 9-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Shadow Ridge has already played their next match, a 25-13 win against West Point on the 1st. As for Corona del Sol, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against Millennium on the 1st.
