Volleyball Recap: West Jessamine Beats East Jessamine for Their Fourth Straight Win

West Jessamine and East Jessamine faced off in a cross-town battle on Monday. The West Jessamine Colts put the hurt on the East Jessamine Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17, 25-11.

Sam Smith paced West Jessamine's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Carson Beers and his 24 assists. Beers was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

The win was the fourth in a row for West Jessamine, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. As for East Jessamine, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Jessamine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Henry Clay on the 18th. East Jessamine will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Walton-Verona at 7:00 p.m. on March 28th.
