Volleyball Recap: St. Aloysius Comes Up Short

St. Aloysius was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the McLaurin Tigers.

St. Aloysius wouldn't go down easily and took McLaurin into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-13, 21-25, 15-7.

St. Aloysius' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McLaurin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

After both having extra time off, St. Aloysius and Jackson HomeSchool will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLaurin, they will challenge South Delta at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
