Lauderdale County is a perfect 6-0 against East Lawrence since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lauderdale County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Wilson just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Lauderdale County might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Wilson: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 22-25, 28-26, 15-12.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when East Lawrence faced off against St. John Paul II on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Falcons. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

While East Lawrence ultimately came up short, they really made St. John Paul II work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17.

East Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Lauderdale County, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-14.

Lauderdale County came out on top in a nail-biter against East Lawrence when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
