Softball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

Cambridge managed to slip by Stillwater the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The N/A came up short against the Warriors on Monday, falling 10-1. The N/A were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

This is the second loss in a row for Cambridge and nudges their season record down to 6-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-3 Greenwich (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.3% over those games). As for Stillwater, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cambridge will square off against rival Saratoga Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Stillwater is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
