West Catholic waltzed into their match  on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Union Red Hawks as they made off with  a  17-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jordan Empie was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Sarah Goffer, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 West Catholic  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .808. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
West Catholic pushed their record up to 11-5 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Union,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Looking ahead, West Catholic will host South Christian  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Union, they will venture away from home to  square off against Holland  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
