Volleyball Recap: Howell Comes Up Short

Howell was the 2-0 winner over Oakville when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Jocie Nepute paced Howell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Nepute got some help from Grace Thompson and her 14 assists. Thompson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Howell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16-2 record this season. As for Oakville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12-1.

Howell has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Fort Zumwalt West on the 30th. As for Oakville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Parkway West on the 27th.
